Events Around CEL

On Veterans Day we honor all,
Who answered to a service call.
Soldiers young, and soldiers old,
Fought for freedom, brave and bold.
Some have lived, while others died,
And all of them deserve our pride.
We’re proud of all the soldiers who,
Kept thinking of red, white and blue.
They fought for us and all our rights,
They fought through many days and nights.
And though we may not know each name,
We thank ALL veterans just the same.

Senior CELebration

Hats off to our graduating class of 2016!

Guidence Counselor Appreciation Week 2016

From schedules to college and career guidance, guidance counselors do it all! Thank you so much to our Seminole High School guidance counselors; Mrs. Rubin, Ms. Kraeter, Ms. Faris, and Ms. Ekstrand! All of CEL appreciates everything you all do for us and the school!

College Panel 2016

Every year, CEL hosts a College Panel of returning graduates of the program. Juniors attend and listen to the tales of college from our pros. Whether it be about the wonders of a slow cooker in a dorm or tips for surviving roommates, it gives juniors an idea of what comes after high school. Colleges represented were St. Petersburg College, University of South Florida, Flagler College, and many others.

Discovery Night 2015

Discovery Night 2015 was held on Thursday, November 19th. While the rain may have hampered the beginning to the evening, our presentation ran smoother than ever. This event was nearly 100% student organized and led. One of our senior class CEL representatives, Savannah Strandlof, put together the presentation and hosted it. Speakers on our panel for the night included CEL seniors such as, Spencer Whitten, Hannah Gars, Luke Brantley, Hannah Bauerlein, Trinity Foster, Arielle Sorrells, and  juinor class CEL representative, Molli Dodaro. A freshmen class CEL representative, Cecelia Gordon prepared an amazing speech but was unable to make it so her speech was read by Savannah Strandlof. Thank you to our speakers and volunteers that made this night a success!

Veteran's Day

On Wednesday, November 11th, our CEL Freshmen honored our veterans on campus, Dr. Pincus, Mr. Bannister, Mr. Browett, and Mr. McCarthy. They made and put up a sign in the courtyard, decorated the veterans' classroom doors, and handed out gift bags. It was the least we could do to honor and thank these heroes for all they have done.
